The parable of the Prodigal Son is a story which particularly resonates with me. It’s a parable which has played an important part in my own faith journey. As I was reflecting on it more recently, I was reminded of the great joy that is: it’s the father who ran to the son. And it’s our heavenly father who runs to us, no matter where we are or what we’ve done – our goodness doesn’t matter, because God’s goodness and grace is all embracing.

So, I wrote a song reflecting on that. It was originally titled ‘The Prodigal Song’, but I feared my Dad humour might not be for everyone, so settled on ‘You ran to me’.

Normally, I wouldn’t publicly share a demo recording, but I’ve had quite a few people ask for a copy and so thought I’d pop it up here. If it’s of any use, then you are very welcome to it! I hope at some point in the future to record it properly!
